“…and he ain’t even a real cowboy. He was fake.”

Monday, April 30th, 2007

I figured that maybe with a week off, you’d get tired of the same ol’ songs, so here is a brand spankin’ new, hot off the presses song. I left in the intro-talkin’ for those who are in the mood for the ‘live show’ feel. I like it, anyway, and I’ll probably get a note or two about how I should take it off or down, but, no sir…I won’t. It’s good stuff.

Thanks so a couple of folks, in no particular order, Plank10, Campbsr, and HurricaneNatalie for keeping the talk going in the forums, offering to provide content, and legal services to those folks here at LCD. Tis much appreciated.

Thank you muchly,

Management.

Ace. Ace? Ace!

Friday, April 27th, 2007

Yep, the man himself Ace Frehley, founding member of KISS, turns 56 today. I felt that he needed a dedication, directly from Cory, well, at least a song, right?

So, Ace, this is for you, man.

Sorry about the lack du updating. I’ve been in Walt Disney World all week, and we just returned early this afternoon. It was a great time, texted a few times with Mr. Branan, who reads this stuff actually, and he assures me he’ll stop on in sometime soon.

I did meet some Lucero/Drag the River fans in line with my daughter to the Astro-Space-Jet thing in Tomorrowland as I was sporting one of my Lucero Shirts and was spotted. Heck, I spotted a dude in Epcot with another Lucero shirt on, but, I lost him in the shuffle. Represent, I say.

Business as usual on Monday. Promise. I hope y’all have been well.

Oh, and if you live in Arkansas, make it to the White Water Tavern TONIGHT, and you can catch a possible surprise appearance by Ben Nichols.

Drawin’ in close as Christmas Day
She’ll say
“What have you got left to lose…today,
but your BROKEN HEART?”

The Handle Hides a Blade…

Monday, April 16th, 2007

So since Mondays really suck, and your taxes are due tomorrow, why not start your week off right? I was digging back through some footages and I spent some time working this one out. It has a particular moment that I find, well, hilarious. You’ll have to watch/listen to catch it, but, it couldn’t be timed more perfect. Not to mention, this is one of my favorite songs as well.

For those of you in the Midwest recovering from the crazy storms, go on out and see the man behind the music, and show him some Midwest love! You know you’ll be sorry if you don’t catch him as he doesn’t get out that way too often, but, if y’all make it out in droves, maybe that’ll change.

Speaking of touring, Rodeo and I spoke briefly yesterday between tornadic activity on my end, about some adjustments, some of which he has mentioned here, and others that will come soon, i.e. photo libraries, video libraries, etc. couple that with up-to-the-minute tour schedules, and we can be your Wal-mart du Branan.

Speaking of Branan, Cory has requested an account, which I filled this morning, so when you see ‘Cory Branan’ either posting or talking…well, that’s him. He’s pretty excited about this place and getting to talk with y’all so, keep your ears and eyes wide open.

Oh, and speaking of ears, your free download of the week will be delivered on Wednesday April 18th, check back in the morning for it. I’ll give you a choice…do you want me to tell you what it is, or keep it a secret and let you find out on Wednesday (my wife always says I’m bad about this, I can’t help it people)? The choice is yours, just comment.

Apologies

I order to get the message board working again I have to remove it and re-add it. I will post one big thread with all the posts from the old board…

New forum is up. Just have to tweak the colors.

Cory didn’t care for the background so I dropped it for now until I can think of something better.

Also working on the gallery today…

Forums and more

Saturday, April 14th, 2007

We had a glitch today and the forums are a little messed up. I have backed up the posts and will be fixing them tonight. There is a chance the posts might have to be manually re-added and that will take some time. This will allow me to hook up the new version though…

Sorry for any inconvenience.

I will also be upgrading the WordPress and adding an actual gallery where members can upload pics. Maybe a shoutbox as well.

Master Peep Theater

Monday, April 9th, 2007

Well, if you were celebrating Easter, i.e. the death and ressurrection of Jesus, by microwaving Peeps…shame on you. Well, not really, cause that’s what I did, but in order to bring all of the insanity of the plastic grass holiday to rest, I have assembled TWO, yes, count’em TWO videos for your viewing pleasure.

The first one, which should be playing now, is the ever beloved ‘White T Girls’ from the show Cory did here in the Raleigh area. The second one, well, is a latent egg hunt of sorts. Go on over to Hardcore Troubadours website, show them some love and I imagine it’ll be up this week sometime. The link is theirs for the time being, and to find out, well, you just have to stay tuned to their stuff. If you want a hint on the song…

Hint #1 - It’s a new song.

Hint #2 - Picture Frankenstien eating a lemon and dancing.

I’m not really sure how many of you enjoyed last weeks download, so let us know on the boards, or hell, on this post. It don’t really matter much, just say something dammit.

Special thanks to Nate and Campbsr for at least posting some stuff…especially reviews and requests!

All the best,

Management

Monday Morning Wake-up

Monday, April 2nd, 2007

Well, trying to get this posting thing to be fairly regular so that you have reason to come back and visit. Let’s see, couple of things new today…remember I told you that Cory played two songs on WKNC 88.1 when he was here a couple of weeks back? Well this is the second song he played, which was ‘Tall Green Grass’.

On a second note, thanks to the request of Plank 10 (a lovely diner here), I have been scratching my head over how to send, and or deliver, mp4 movie files for ipod and iTunes to other diners. Well, I gave up and did a yousendit file, so if you’d like ‘The Walkaround’ for your ipod, you’re in luck, and you better act fast….1 week…100 downloads at this link here:

The Walkaround iPod Video Download Link

And lastly, I found the Angel Synthesizer thing. I had put my iPod on shuffle and heard the lyric…memorized where it was, and now have a bead on it. So maybe next week that will be the download of the week or something. Either way, keep your comments coming and your ideas as well…and talk to each other for goodness sakes!

Love,

Management
